About
Arto Lanamäki is currently Lecturer (Universitetslektor) at University of Bergen. His research focuses on the interdisciplinary study of communication, participation and collaboration in technology-mediated spaces. His research includes such themes as peer production, online communities, health care informatics, and social aspects of information security. He holds a MSc in Computer Science from University of Tampere and will defend his PhD thesis in University of Bergen in 2012. Lanamäki has seven years of practitioner work experience in e-health and one year in VoIP systems development. He is currently involved in a project conducting a systematic literature review of Wikipedia related research, an effort including researchers from Canada, Denmark and Norway. He has published in such academic outlets as Communications of the AIS and Finnish Medical Journal.
