About

I'm an Associate Professor of Digital Culture, and I research ways in which people tell stories online, looking at electronic literature, blogging, games and participatory media.

I'm an avid blogger, and started my research blog jill/txt in October 2000. In 2006 I won the Meltzer Award for Excellence in the Dissemination of Research, largely for my work on the blog. So read my blog to find out what I'm currently working on.

I also enjoy speaking to general audiences, and have given talks at seminars and conventions of librarians, artists, entrepreneurs, graphic designers, web developers and general business people. Companies that have invited me to give internal seminars include Microsoft Norway, NRK and Chess.
